Internship

For the last 40 days I have been interning for a lobbyist during the 2010 Utah Legislative Session. I have really enjoyed it, only 5 days left! I have met a lot of people and have learned a lot. I have been in multiple meeting with Governor Herbert. I haven't had a lot of time to take pictures and I didn't want to do the whole intern thing and get pictures with all the important people I have met. Here are a couple of the pictures I have had a chance to take.

Recently I have been interning at the State Capitol for a lobbyist. We have been involved in many things but this is the biggest one so far. There is the above link to a video and then another video from KSL. Check them out- I'm in both of them... my 3 seconds of fame.

In the KSL video the best shot is at 1:13 and in the KUTV video I believe the shot is 1:35.

I love the Heber Valley

Last week Lindsey needed to film a sunset for a DVD menu for her broadcasting class. She found this awesome spot up Red Ledges, even though I have a very strong dislike of Red Ledges I went with her. The sun was gorgeous and so was Timp and the Heber Valley. I am so blessed to live in such a gorgeous place.

Avatar!

Last night I went with a friend to Avatar on the Imax in 3D! It was awesome. The graphics and special effects were amazing. There are some parts that bugged me, like one of the chicks voices, but it was a great movie. It was very creative and the picture quality was unbelievable. I can't even fathom the way they came up with a lot of the animals and parts of the story line that they did. There is one line in the movie which is one of the main things that caught my attention. In the movie they talk a lot about 'seeing'. Before I saw the movie I had a friend tell me to pay close attention to the phrase 'I see you'. In the movie, 'I see you', means a total connection; a connection through love and understanding. I really enjoyed the movie, 3D is the only way to go and if you can pull it off, Imax makes it even that much better.

St. George and New Years!!

On Sunday the family decided to go to our condo in St. George... so we did. We played around down there for a little bit.

For New Years, a couple of us decided to go ice skating! It was fun and I had not been since I was like 12! I didn't even fall once! ha ha. I even got to see a good friend which made the night all that much better. Thanks cohorts for a total blast to ring in the New Year.

I have had a great year. It started with climbing Kilimanjaro and ended having a great night with friends. I worked for the Forest Service during the summer and enjoyed it. I went to Vegas for the first time and had an awesome trip with friends. Even though this was a really good year, the coming year seems even more exciting.
