I know it has taken me a while to finally put pictures up- I just haven't had enough time recently, but here they are. The Wasatch Back is a 188 mile relay from Logan to Park City. There are 12 member teams that split into 2 vans of 6; each member runs 3 separate legs of varied lengths. It usually takes over 24 hours to complete. There were 650 teams and they figure 9,000 people participated in this. Thats a lot of people... I was runner #4 and ran legs of 5.1, 4.8, and 3.2 miles. I was hurting the next couple of days I can tell you that... ha ha.

The wait is finally over.
Well tomorrow morning at 4:30 I will be on a van heading up to Logan to start the Wasatch Back. I'm really excited for it to be over... ha ha I'm sick of having to run all the time. I am the #4 runner so my legs are as follows: my first leg is 5.1 miles, second leg is 4.8, and my last leg is 3.1. I'm really really nervous about it but I hope it will go well. I planning on taking lots of pictures!

What did I get myself into...?
Well this morning I ran the Deer Creek trail with my dad. I thought I was in better shape then I actually am. The whole trail is about 8 miles one way- I only ran 5 miles so 2.5 there and 2.5 back. It was hard- the trail is a lot of up and down. It was a really good run and now I know that I need to work a lot harder and change up my training program.
We also got some new horses and my dad and I rode them today. We bought a little foxtrotter named Kenai ( I think thats the right spelling). She is 4 and a dark palomino- she is a cute little horse and I like her a lot. The other horse we got is one that we are just trying out for a week- we might buy her but we aren't sure yet. She is a 6 year old black tenessee walker. I dont like her very much- she was owned by more of a city slicker type and she wasnt taught patience and she was able to get away with a lot of crap. We will see how it works out though- going for another ride on Wednesday.

Such is life...
Well at about 3:30 this afternoon our beloved dog of 10 years passed away. It is tough because he was the first dog I ever had and you could not ask for a better dog. He loved to hunt pheasants and the only time he ever barked was when you didn't let him out to change the wheel-lines. He had Addisons disease and was steadily getting worse... We were hoping that if he made it through the winter we would have him for the majority of the summer- but this morning we knew it would not be. The weakness that our dog could not over come was too much for us to handle- to know that he wanted to run and play but could not was what finally helped us make the decision to end his suffering. I hate the way that pets grow from just being an animal to being a part of the family. I hate the fact that pets are one of the only things that makes me cry... RIP Buddy- I know there are pheasants to be chased and wheel-lines to be changed in Heaven.

Love you Buddy

Summer? Maybe?
Well I have been done with school for about 2 weeks now. It hasn't quite been summer yet, as you all know, but I did get a chance to hang out with friends from liberty square only a short week after leaving them. They missed me so much! ;) ha ha So last Thursday Michelle and I went down Provo Canyon to hang out. Here are a couple pic's from the bonfire.
